Supplies Needed For This Fingerprint Craft Idea:

This craft supply list is minimal, and you should have all the crafting supplies at home. But if you don’t, here is what you’ll need.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this Valentine’s Day card:

We used cardstock for this craft because it’s thinker, which is nice when using paint. If you use too much paint and thin printer paper, it can seep through.

However, if printer paper is all you have on hand, it works. Just make sure to go light on the paint so you don’t tear a hole in your paper.

Create Your Valentine’s Day Fingerprint Card

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

To get started, you will need a piece of white and pink paper. However, if you don’t have pink, any color will work.

Grab both pink and red paint and squirt them on a plate. Or we used these cute little paint trays shown above.

Step 2: Fold Both Papers In Half

Start this project by first folding both pieces of paper in half. Then draw a half-heart on the pink paper.

Cut out the hearts.

We made multiple cards for multiple people. If you are only planning on making one card, you will only need to cut out one heart.

Top picks:

Step 3: Tape Hearts To Card

Once your heart is cut out, tape it onto your card, so it doesn’t move around.

Step 4: Add Your Fingerprints

Begin by adding your fingerprints around the heart. Once that is done, continue to use different color paint to make fingerprints all over your card.

Then set your card out of the way to dry.

Step 5: Remove The Heart

Once the paint dries, remove the pink heart from your card. You should have a beautiful heart in the middle of your paper surrounded by tons of tiny little fingerprints.

Now open your card and write a sweet Valentine’s Day message.
