Instructions For Your Paper Plate Turkey

Step 1: Grab a paper plate and cut 1⁄4 part of the paper plate away. Cutting this V shape out of your paper plate allows you to make a cone shape with your paper plate. Make a cone out of your paper plate and use a glue gun or Elmer’s glue to glue it together.

Step 2: Cover the cone with brown construction paper. You can do this by cutting a similar paper plate shape out of the brown construction paper and then cutting away the v shape, like above.

Or, depending on your child’s age, you can have them color their paper plate turkey craft brown with a washable marker or crayon.

If you don’t have a printer available, you or your child can simply draw the turkey’s feet, nose, and beak on paper of your choice. And then skip steps 4 and 5.

Step 7: Now it’s time to prepare the pipe cleaner feathers for the turkey. Grab a few pipe cleaners in the colors of your choice. (You can use as many as you can and colors you want.) Fold them in half.

Attach them to the back of the turkey using a glue gun or by poking a hole into the back of the turkey. Push the pipe cleaners through and then twist the pipe cleaners on the inside to make them stay.
