I love breakfast, but I don’t like taking forever to make it. You can’t go wrong with this chocolate chip banana bread as a quick and easy breakfast.

If I had to rate this banana bread on a scale of 1 to awesome, I’d give it an AWESOME! It’s got a great texture, the perfect amount of sweetness and the chocolate chips really complement the banana flavor!

Worlds Best Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

What I love about making this banana bread is that it’s a pretty simple recipe and you only need one bowl for it.

The first thing you’ll want to do is start pre-heating the oven. Turn that thing up to 350, and let it get warm.

With the oven pre-heating, it’s time to melt the butter. Place the butter in the bowl and pop it into the microwave. Run it long enough until it’s melted.

I don’t have a microwave, so I threw it in the bowl and stuck it in the oven while it pre-heated. It took a little longer to melt but worked all the same.

Once the butter is melted, it’s time to mash the bananas.

Add the bananas to the bowl with the melted butter and mash them until there are no chunks left. You’ll want it to be a smooth mixture.

Some people like to use forks to mash their bananas, and that’s fine, but my secret weapon is a drink muddler. Never heard of it?

Well, we received it years ago as a gift, and it’s always been our banana masher because it does such a good job!

Now that you have the banana and butter mixed, it’s time to add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix it with a good whisk.

With the bowl full of all the wet ingredients, it’s time to start adding the dry ingredients.

I like to add the sugar, salt, baking soda, and our secret ingredient CINNAMON to the wet ingredients and stir before I add the flour. It gives it a good, even mix.

Lastly, add the flour and mix it all until it’s smooth.

With the batter, all mixed together, fold in the mini-chocolate chips with your favorite spatula.

Before you pour the mixture into the loaf pan, make sure you grease the pan with no-stick cooking spray. You’ll be glad you did, otherwise it will stick all over the dish.

At this point, you’re ready to put this banana bread in the oven. Place it in your oven that’s at 350 degrees and bake it for 55 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted and removed from the middle comes out clean.

If the top begins to turn dark brown but you need to bake it a little longer, try putting tin foil over the top and it will keep it from burning!

The banana bread will last for a couple of days sitting on the counter, but let’s be honest, this stuff tastes so good it’s not going to be around long enough to make it spoil!

Ingredients For Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

  • 1/2 Cup Melted Butter
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 3 Ripe Bananas
  • 2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 Cup White Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup Mini Chocolate Chips

Directions To Make The Best Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Step 1: Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2: Melt the butter in a large bowl using the Microwave.

Step 3: With the butter melted, add the bananas and mash them until there are no clumps left.

Step 4: Add the Vanilla Extract and Eggs to the bowl with Butter and Bananas. Stir with a whisk.

Step 5: Ad the Sugars, Baking Soda, Salt, and Cinnamon to the bowl of wet ingredients. Stir to mix.

Step 6: Add the Flour to the rest of the ingredients and stir with a whisk.

Step 7: Fold Chocolate Chips into the batter.

Step 8: Grease a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray and then transfer the batter to the pan.

Step 9: Bake for 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees or until a toothpick can be inserted into the center and removed clean.
