How to Create a Fork Painted Christmas Tree

Follow along with these steps to create your very own for print Christmas tree! This craft is perfect for kids of all ages and can be customized with different materials you have around your home! Enjoy!!

Step 1. Draw the Tree Truck

Grab a peice of cardstock paper and have your kiddo set it vertically in front of them. Sometimes I find it helpful to tape down the outer corners so the paper doesn’t move around.

Draw a Christmas tree trunk with the brown marker at the bottom of the cardstock paper.

Step 2. Start Painting

Next, pour a small amount of green paint on the center of the paper plate or bowl. Dip your fork into the green paint and make sure you cover the bottom portion of the fork completely.

I recommend starting at the bottom of the tree. Press the fork down onto the paper and gently roll the fork back and forth to get a good fork print. Continue this process for the bottom of the tree.

Step 3. Continue Painting Your Christmas Tree

Repeat this process, working your way up the tree, using the points of the fork facing down to represent the branches of the tree. Finish out the Christmas tree shape all the way to the top.

When you are done with your painting set it aside to dry.

Step 4. Finshing Up!

Once your painting is dry, glue a pom pom to the top of the tree to represent the star. Then glue dots around the Christmas tree. Place a piece of confetti on the glue dots.

For extra sparkle, you can include glitter, ribbons, stickers or even sequins in your crafts.

Then set aside to dry. Display!
