How to Make a Bee With a Paper Plate

So grab your supplies and make this fun bumble bee paper plate craft!
1. Paint Your Bumble Bee
Start by grabbing out your yellow paint and painting your paper plate. I use acrylic paint; however, depending on your child’s age, some fun options would be finger paint, watercolors, or kid-friendly washable paint. I also love using these silicone art mats when painting with my kiddos because it’s easy to clean up, and the paint doesn’t stick.
Once your paper plate is fully covered and has dried, set it to the side and let it dry.
2. Cut Out Your Bees Stripes
Using black construction paper, cut three long strips of black paper. You want enough to cover the paper plate. Then, grab your glue stick and attach it horizontally to the paper plate. Use scissors to cut off any extra at the ends of the paper plate.
3. Make the Bees Antennas
Now that your paper plate looks more like a bee, it’s time to make the antenna from black paper. Cut two rectangles and two circles, then put them together. Attach it to the top of the paper plate.
4. Create the Bumble Bees Eyes
Lastly, make the eyes by cutting two circles from white cardstock. Then, shade the inner part using the marker. Then, attach them to the paper plate.
